Colorado Amazonite Jewelry

One of our favorite semi-precious gemstones, Amazonite is less expensive than most of the other Turquoise colored gemstones but, in many cases, just as bright in color. Amazonite (or Colorado Amazonite) is most commonly a pale to intense aqua to turquoise colored microcline feldspar that gets its name from the Amazon River, where it was first discovered. The deeper aqua varieties even rival the stunning color of extremely expensive Peruvian Blue Opal!
