Mystical Properties: Intensely yellow, wearing Heliodore Jewelry is thought to bring cheer and help find one's willpower and reason to live and survive. Heliodore is said to bring fun and laughter.

Thought to be a gemstone of Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter, often called the Greater Beneficent.

Associated with the 3rd Chakra, the seat of Will, Life Force and Ego, it is also thought to vibrate with the higher Chakras and help with intellect and reason. Note also, that Sagittarius is considered the sign of Higher Thought and Reason as well.

Healing Properties: Liver and Bile problems.

Scientific Properties: Composed of Beryl (Berylium Aluminum Silicate) Silicate with Iron providing the yellow coloration. Beryl forms in pegmatitic environments where Beryllium is available. Easily identified in the field by the 6-sided crystals and hardness. Common localities include Brazil and Afghanistan. Hardness: 8.0 on the Moh's Hardness Scale
