rocks with water trapped in their crystal structure (as are all Opals),
protect your gemstone from chemicals, heat and sun exposure. As with anything
extremely rare and expensive, fakes pop up! If you're not paying alot-lot-lot, be extremely suspicious! The lower grades
of this gemstone are nearly white or a very pale turquoise blue. So certain dealers are dying this to imitate the higher
grade natural Peruvian Blue Opal. Be sure to ask if there have been any treatments!
