Pop Rocks

Pop Rocks are found in only one spot, near a pyramid mound in the center of the continental USA (Kansas). They grow upon stems near the mound. Pop Rocks get their name because, if thrown in a fire, they will pop and create sparks. Since they are composed of Iron Pyrite, it is the close equivalent of throwing iron shavings into a fire.
Mystical Properties: Pop Rocks always come in pairs--a smoother female stone and a rougher male stone.

TO OUR READERS: In April 2007, we were sent a letter of LETTER OF CEASE & DESIST from the owners of www.bojistones.com, saying we were infringing on their trademark name, Boji® Stones. When we investigated, we noticed they charge literally hundreds and hundreds of of dollars for a single Pop Rock pair. Geologically and ethically, we feel compelled to inform you, that you are getting exactly the same geological occurence. Does it seem possible that rocks mined a mere foot off their property line would be inferior in any way? Well, use your common sense. We have carried ceritifed Boji® Stones in the past, and in our opinion, honestly cannot tell the difference between the Pop Rocks we purchase in bulk from outside their property. Every naturopath and natural healer we've ever spoken to agree the Pop Rocks are just as powerful as any mined off their property. We're not saying you should purchase only from us--many businesses carry Pop Rocks. We recommend doing a good internet search. In our opinion, a Rose is still a Rose by any name... So PLEASE be informed before you spend literally hundreds of dollars!

Pop Rocks are used by natural healers to balance the body's energy. The persons who first discovered Pop Rocks in 1974, claim Kirilian photography shows the Pop Rocks closing up holes in the human energy field.

There are some who believe Pop Rocks are alive and of extra-terrestrial origin.

This author admits to feeling a shock of energy that ran from the stones. I then asked between 15-20 people to hold the Pop Rocks. 5 of the 15-20 people claimed to feel the energy. For those who did feel it, it was very strong and a bit surprising that the others couldn't feel it. The tingle seemed to last quite a while.

Pop Rocks are considered balancing and cleansing to the Aura. Thought to remove energy blocks and help healing and cell regeneration.

Considered a gemstone of Scorpio.

Healing Properties: Healing in general, cell growth and regeneration.

Scientific Properties: Kansas Pop rocks are concretions of Iron Sulfide (pyrite and/or marcasite and/or jarosite). Pop Rocks are found in outcrops around Grove County Kansas, in a layer of the rock called the Niobrara Formation. Hardness: 7.4 on the Moh's Hardness Scale.

Disclaimer: Newage Enterprises makes no claims as to the healing properties of this gemstone. We provide information on legends surrounding this stone's mystical and healing properties which allow the informed user to make their own decision.
